## Features

- Save birthdays and receive reminders by SMS.
- Add birthdays and ask what is coming up using natural-language text messages.
- Import birthdays from pasted notes or uploaded contact files, including .vcf.
- Share a birthday-collection link so friends can add their own birthdays.
- Connect Slack to receive reminders in a connected workspace.
- Connect Claude or ChatGPT through MCP to manage birthdays with an AI assistant.
- Configure reminder timing, timezone, day-before reminders, and weekly summaries in Settings.
- The public website supports English and Spanish.

## Pricing and billing

- The standard subscription costs USD $12 per year, billed annually. There is no monthly billing plan.
- Existing eligible non-Stripe subscribers have Founding Member access: a free lifetime subscription with no payments or renewals.
- Paid subscribers can manage or cancel their subscription from Settings through Stripe.
- Cancellation stops renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Signing in does not itself create a paid subscription.

## Connecting an AI assistant

Sign in to BirthdayBeep and open Settings for the current Claude and ChatGPT setup instructions. Add BirthdayBeep as a remote MCP connector in a supported client, then complete the account authorization and consent flow.

MCP access is authenticated and scoped to the account that authorizes the connection. This public document does not grant account access. Never request or expose passwords, verification codes, access tokens, or another person's birthdays.

Available account tools include:

- list_birthdays: list the authorized account's saved birthdays.
- add_birthday: add a birthday.
- update_birthday: update an existing birthday.
- delete_birthday: remove a birthday.
- get_account_settings: read editable reminder settings.
- update_account_settings: change supported reminder preferences.

Use the connected server's tools/list response for current schemas and capabilities. Client support and setup requirements may change. Ask the user to confirm destructive changes; do not guess missing birthday details.

Reply STOP to stop receiving SMS messages. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Stopping SMS messages is not the same as canceling a paid subscription; use Settings for billing cancellation.

Do not claim a reminder was sent or a birthday was changed without a successful response from the relevant authenticated tool.
